University Of Anbar Continues its Celebrations for the Second Day of the Thirty-Fourth Anniversary of its Foundation

Our university continued its celebrations for the second day of the thirty-fourth anniversary of its foundation, with a central celebration and a wonderful mass carnival at the Martyrs’ Hall, in the presence of the President of the University, Prof. Dr. Mushtaq Talib Al-Neda, the Assistant President of the University, Prof. Dr. Muthanna Muhammad Awwad, the University President’s Assistant for Scientific Affairs, and Prof. Dr. Atheer Anwar Shareef, the University President’s Assistant for Administrative Affairs, Deans of Colleges and heads of departments and centers in the university presidency, where the celebrations began with the reading of a verse from the Holy Quran, followed by the listening to the Iraqi national anthem.  A documentary film about the university was shown that embodied the scientific and urban developments that the university is witnessing, as well as covering the university with green and blue spaces within the project of University Of Anbar as a green oasis that was launched by the president of the university. The president of the university delivered a speech on the occasion in which he said, “we gather today in our beloved university to celebrate its foundation day, renew our affiliation, enhance loyalty to it and affirm our pride in it.”

The celebrations also included cutting a birthday cake, an activity for the university’s kindergarten, reciting a number of poems of eloquent poetry, as well as presenting a purposeful play and playing music on the lute by the artist Ayham Mohsen.

The President of Anbar University, Prof. Dr. Mushtaq Talib Al-Neda, also honored the retired deans and professors, offering them his thanks and appreciation for their scientific efforts throughout their scientific career in the service of our university and our beloved country.

In turn, the Assistant President of the University for Scientific Affairs presented a certificate of appreciation to the President of the University, as he previously held the position of Dean of the College of Pharmacy. The Assistant President of the University for Administrative Affairs presented a certificate of appreciation to Prof. Muthanna Muhammad Awwad, the Assistant President of the University for Scientific Affairs, as he previously held the position of Dean of the College of Sciences.  In this occasion, the former deans of the colleges expressed their great gratitude and thanks for this initiative from the President of the University, pledging him to make every effort for the sake of elevating their university and serving its students to be in the ranks of advanced universities.

On the sidelines of the celebration, the President of the University, the assistants and deans of the colleges conducted a field tour of the bazaars organized by the colleges of the university. They included many art and scientific exhibitions, equipment and scientific outputs for the students and the teaching staff of the university, as well as exhibitions of books, photos, drawings, publications, food products, household items and various other exhibitions.
