Address by the Director of Hostel.

All praise is due to Allah, Whom we praise and seek help, guidance and forgiveness from. We seek refuge with Allah from the evils within ourselves and from the burden of our evil deeds. He whom Allah guides, will never be misled; and he whom He misguides, will never have one who will guide him. I bear witness that there is no deity worthy of worship except Allah without partners and that Muhammad is His servant and Messenger. To proceed..

Higher education is considered the ultimate qualitative and quantitative aspect of the educational ladder that it is the ultimate source of technical, organizational and administrative leadership in modern societies, which are characterized by the phenomenon of regulating specialized social work. Higher education in our developing societies has a great responsibility for cultural self-realization and human and scientific development. Hence the concern to disseminate knowledge and expand the horizons of university education as a right for all citizens, and it is the beginning of intellectual advancement that gives citizens the immunity of education and qualifies them to take the appropriate position in building society. Hence the urgent need to promote the university hostels sector as an important pillar of the entire educational process. Hostels are of great importance as they are the second home for students, and they are considered an academic and educational edifice that reflects a clear picture of the scientific progress of the universities, as well as giving students an educational preparation. The university presidency has, therefore, paid great attention to this sector, as this interest has become clear and evident through the attention to hostels buildings, where these buildings were owned by the private sector. Now, the number of buildings owned by the university is more than (13) buildings with various capacities. This has been accompanied by the provision of the best services to our dear students, and this has resulted in a noticeable increase in the demand for housing in hostels in recent years, amounting to about (5,000) male and female students. The hostels affairs department has also witnessed a significant development in the administrative field. In recent years, the department has also created (6) hostels and more than (18) administrative units to serve students in hostels. In addition, numerous instructions, standards, and regulations have been put in place to serve the work of the hostels in order to strengthen their three pillars, which are the building, the administrative and supervisory staff and the student. Therefore, the hostels affairs department faces many challenges, which are represented in the diversity and composition of the hostel students community. The community receives a large number of students at different ages and from different academic disciplines, which produce different challenges daily. In addition to the different environments and geographical areas from which these students come, the psychological, social and cognitive pressures they face in the hostels, this is why the role of supervisor and the social researcher is very significant in providing guidance services for them to develop psychological immunity as well as to develop their positive traits and aspects.

Recalling of these meanings is very important that, via our relations with our students, we must see that we give these issues special importance by embodying them in practical and tangible terms. Therefore, our message came in "seeking to achieve the requirements of adequate housing for university students and providing them with the necessities of their comfort and care in a fair way, with the aim of creating a conducive environment to motivate their abilities to excel and innovate." Allah is the only arbiter of true success.
