First/ Maintenance and Services Section Carried out the Following Activities: -                        

v The reconstruction and development of all the hostels complexes after their destruction by ISIS terrorist gangs in record time and in cooperation with the supporting bodies at the university.

v Reconnecting the national electricity and replace the damaged electrical transformers with new ones.

v Coordinating with the relevant authorities, obtaining the official approvals, and linking the hostels complexes (the medical group) to an emergency power line operating 24 hours a day and for the third year in a row.

v Establishing a water treatment project for all hostels complexes and it is now working well.

v Developing special computer halls to provide Internet service for research and scientific purposes and for all inland department complexes.

v Rehabilitating and developing the gardens of the hostels complexes and linking them to sprinkler and drip irrigation systems.

v Afforestation and decoration of the outer courtyards of the hostels complexes.

v Conducting pesticide spraying campaigns to combat insects that appear at the beginning of the summer season. This is in addition to spraying the students corridors and apartments and the outer perimeter of the hostels.

v Adding 10,000 liter reservoirs of six water tanks per building, in order to alleviate the water scarcity that may occur and to ensure the continuity of water for students.

v Developing refrigeration and air conditioning workshop.

v Establishing workshop for blacksmiths.

v Rehabilitation and temporary allocation of two buildings by the Maintenance and Services section (hostels stores .(

v Providing terraces in the parks of the hostels complexes with solar powered mobile chargers.

v Developing a system of surveillance cameras to monitor the entrances and exits of the hostels complexes, as well as the perimeter of the hostels complexes.

v Adding a standby generator to each hostels complex to ensure the continuity of the electric current in hostels complexes in the event of failure of the main generator.

v Adding of two giant generators for the interior section complexes No. 5.4 and 6.3 and 2.

v  The hostel no. 9, which is for students in the medical group and the Faculty of Agriculture, is equipped with a central heating and cooling system (V.RF) with capacity (270 internal tons and 297 external tons).

v Establishing of water desalination systems (R.O.) for all hostels complexes.

v Establishment of a solar system for the inner section complex (6.3.2).

v Establishing a workshop to repair electric lamps.

v Carrying out ongoing campaigns of space fumigation of the hostels complexes in light of the coronavirus pandemic.

Second The Social Research section has carried out the following activities: -

v Courses, lectures and seminars in various fields for the members of the Department of hostels Affairs and resident students according to pre-prepared schedules.

v Organizing mass Iftar campaigns for students in hostels and distribute complete food baskets of dry items to students.

v Multi-sport activities.

v Counting the numbers and names of the needy students and then took official approvals to include them in cash assistance from the social solidarity fund of the university presidency.

v Counting the numbers and names of students who are sick and suffering from chronic diseases, provide them with financial assistance, or facilitate their visits to the health departments in the province.

v Establishing a permanent medical team from the college of Medicine and the college of Pharmacy under a university order to monitor the health conditions of students on the ground on an ongoing basis.

v Assigning an ambulance to the hostels students that works around the clock with full-occupancy.

v Coordinating with Al-Anbar health directorate to ensure that the health center at the university provides free health services to students from the dormitories, as well as periodic field visits.

Third. The Housing Section has Carried out the Following Activities: -

v Archiving and organizing student actions for previous years, and establishing a central database.

v Implementation of the first phase of the registration and electronic data management system for students and for the second consecutive year.

v Work is in progress to implement the electronic automation system in Hostels affairs Dept. to link the Section headquarters with all the hostels complexes.

Fourth. The Legal and Administrative Section has Carried out the Following Activities :-

v Preparing the reports of the investigation committees, the inspection committees, and the disciplinary committees for the hostels students who are subject to legal procedures to the amount of 45 investigation reports.

v Following up the legal issues pertaining to the Section and providing legal consultation on internal affairs to take appropriate decisions or give legal status and cover to certain decisions made by the section director.

v Respond to the official books received from the Ministry, the Presidential Centers and Departments, and the University's colleges according to the specified time limits.

v Saving the outgoing, incoming and ministerial mail for the year 2019.

v Completing teacher and staff performance evaluation for the schooling years2018-2019 .

v Preparation for the completion of performance evaluation for teachers and staff for the schooling year 2019-2020.

v Organization and follow-up of periodic attendance and departure records by the Director of the hostel.

v Regulating and maintaining staff members, permanent, contracts and daily wages.

v Managing and following up on official formal issues of department members, and editing books and correspondence.

v Preparing databases on all issues related to hostels in terms of employees, workers, assets, and buildings, numbers of students, and conducting periodic update.

v Electronic archiving of official books and correspondence for the years (2017-2018-2019-2020-2021 .(

v Designing and implementing the electronic systems.

v Developing the hostel operational programs.

Fifth. The Accounts Section has Carried out the Following Activities :-

     1-  Entering all records data such as    -:

v Payroll records (accounting record 8) and archived it electronically.

v The ledger journal record (accounting record 86) and archived it electronically.

v The Fund's journal record (accounting record 66) and archived it electronically.

v Conducting audit balances and matching the bank's statement with the cash presence in the accounting records of the Accounts Section.

2- Completion of housing for (4,323) hostel male and female students for the (2019-2020) academic year and receipt of housing payments under  cash receipts, as shown below: -

v All receipts have been reconciled and checked by the Division of Oversight and Internal Audit.

v To archive the receipts electronically for easy reference and to confirm the accuracy of the information contained therein.

3- Deposit process is in our bank account and all the funds received under the accounts of the consignments in accordance with Law No. (7 of 2012) on the support of the Internal Departments Fund No. 11390. Disbursement shall be made in accordance with the original exchange bonds and with the approval of the chancellor of the university, after the verification by the oversight bodies of the disbursement process.

4- Participation in many committees, including (procurement committees - fuel committees - inventory and reconciliation committee .(

5. An inventory of all expenses during 2019 amounting to 937.604.847), nine hundred and thirty-seven million and six hundred four thousand and eight hundred forty-seven dinars only.

6- Organizing lists and disbursement of salaries for the staff of the hostels.

7- Disbursement of salaries for daily wages and self-financing employees.

8- Completing all functions entrusted to the Storage Unit as follows: -

v Finish the actual inventory and match the book inventory for all internal section buildings for 2019-2020.

v The preparation of all fixed and non-stationary materials in the interior.

v The withdrawal of consumed and damaged materials from the interior section complex buildings to the department’s warehouses.

v Fulfilling all the stored input and output work.

v Completing the deportation of all records as employees' payables and documenting them in the records.

v All hostels buildings are equipped with identification materials to protect against the Coronavirus (cofid19. (

v Inventory and drag the defective material to department stores.
